  3. My husband & I own & operate a ranch in the province of Saskatchewan in Canada. I am new to Henri Nouwen’s work & am very grateful to have discovered him & this Lenten Book discussion via the internet. A blessed Lent to everyone.

  5. Blessings this Ash Wednesday. I’ve never participated in an on-line book discussion and am looking forward to this. I join you from the frozen tundra (Wisconsin).

  6. Hi,

Thank you for leading the series. Very excited to share in discussion with others over Henri Nouwen’s work. I have read many of his books and receive the daily mediations. I am from southern California, been married for 25 years, have three children and desire to grow more in my spiritual walk and relationship with Christ.

  7. I live in the southwest, am married with 5 children, and am looking forward to living a more meaningful Lent this year.

  8. I have read and studied several texts by Henri Nouwen. I am looking forward to preparing for the season of Easter by taking part in this book study. Thank you for providing this opportunity to enhance my spiritual life.

  9. I look forward to the discussion of these two books. Henri Nouwen has been an inspiration in our lives for many years. We join you from Charlotte, NC and are retired from nursing and teaching.

  10. I’m excited to join with everyone on this Lenten journey. I’m a second-career ELCA Vicar in the final phase of ordination studies, and have been confined to home for 3 months recuperating from foot reconstruction, so am in dire need of ‘community.’ The Nouwen Society daily meditations often frame my days as I seek to better understand myself and my relationship to God. Bless you for offering this study and this community!
    Peace,
    Monica

  11. I look forward to this Lenten discussion. I worship with a UCC congregation in CT and have loved reading Henri Nouwen’s books. Both books are available on Nook. $9.99 for one and $7.99 for the other.

Read with joy and be blessed today, Ash Wednesday.

  12. Really appreciate the daily devotions on my phone…so often they remind me of reading the book from which they’re excerpted. I am excited about this first venture into the Henri Nouwen guided reading journey. Thanks!

  13. Henri Nouwen is a favorite spiritual writer who has encouraged and inspired me over many years through his words and example. I so appreciate receiving the daily meditations. I am looking forward to this Lenten reading and discussion. Thank you for facilitating it.

  14. I am looking forward to participating with this book reading and reflections. I have read many of Henri Nouwen’s books and they always stir my heart to a deeper love for God.
I am in the southwest, have 4 children, been married 25 years, and I lead a women’s bible study. This will be a nice change of roles for me.

  15. This is my first time participating in the Lenten workshop and I am very eager to reflect on all the readings as we prepare for Easter.

  16. I am excited about doing the Lenten reflections with the virtual community. I absolutely love Henri Nouwen and have a difficult time finding any other spiritual writer that I enjoy and connect with more than he. My very first book I ever read of his was “Can You Drink The Cup?”. Then I purchased “Inner Voice of Love”. I have read from these 2 books so many times and have referenced some of his material to many people. Looking forward to interacting with other during this Lent season. See you tomorrow!!

  17. My son-in-law steered me to the daily meditations, and they start my day. I am 81 and the first book I read by Henri Nouwen was “The Wounded Healer”, many years ago. I am looking forward to these next two books.

    1. Dear Rosanna,
We are happy to hear that you would like to participate in the Lenten book reflection. There is no need to sign up for the book reflection; you just return to the blog on March 5th to meet Brynn, our facilitator. She will ask folks to post a brief introduction of themselves (if they wish) and then she will begin posting reflection questions on a weekly basis.
      Blessings,

  18. I had trouble finding Heart to Heart. Amazon said shipping in “1 to 4 weeks.” Other bookstores had it “on back order.” So I bought the Kindle version. I don’t have a Kindle, but I do have a Kindle app, so that I can read ebooks on my computer, my tablet or my smart phone. That might be an option for those having trouble finding this book.
    Looking forward to this.

  19. I am eagerly awaiting this experience. I am new to this wonderful website and I am so grateful.

  20. Dear Maureen,

I am so grateful for Henri Nouwen’s daily meditations which are such an inspiration and so apt to my daily work. Now I do look forward to the Lenten Reflections. I’m afraid I don’t have the book, but will check with the Daughters of St. Paul if this is available in Pakistan where I’m a Missionary. If not, I’ll be satisfied with whatever you send by email. Thank you again for your immense help.
    Peace and all good.

  21. Everyday i read these precious thoughts which come to me from the Holy Spirit through you. You are God’s gift to us. Thank you so much for your concern and love for us.

  22. Do you print the text from Making all things new and Heart speaks to Heart for the Lenten Relections or do I have to purchase the books?

    1. Dear Raewyn,
Thank you for your interest in our Lenten book reflection. The material we will be reflecting on is published work so we will not be able to post it on the blog, beyond a brief excerpt. You can purchase the books from our website, from local bookstores or you may be able to find them at your library.
